SRM Name Resolution Error - Unable to connect to SRM

Hi,

After logging on SRM page on both sites, I am getting below error. I have tested all name resolutions possible but no avail. Kindly suggest.

Unable to connect to Site Recovery Manager Server at https://SRMSERVER:443/drserver/vcdr/vmomi/sdk. Reason: java.net.UnknownHostException: SRMSERVER:Temporary failure in name resolution

Hi

It is reporting errors about name resolutions for SRM server. If you are using SRM with FQDN, ensure the SRM host name can be resolved by vCenter servers and the SRM server at other site.

Run modify of SRM -> Ensure 'localhost' field has the correct hostname(Not short name but the FQDN) and generate a new certificate --> Modify a Site Recovery Manager Server Installation

If SRM is an appliance, you can provide the FQDN perform task by running re-configure from SRM VAMI: https://SRM-IPaddr:5480

If DNS resolutions are not in place, then you can either update the hosts file on each SRM server or change the localhost field to SRM IP address during modify installation

Hope that helps
