hope my questions are not too stupid.
just examined the edge networking and other posts in this forum.
i noticed that NSX-t 3.0 has just integrated VSS/VDS together to load the overlay network and would like to know:
1. is it doable to assign both edge VM and ESXi7.0 TN to the same TEP(VLAN)?? or they must to use separate TEP?
2. is the "eth0" interface undeletable and fixed with vNIC1??

If this is home lab or POC , you can certainly configure a single VLAN for all types of traffic. It works even for multisite design.

Eth0 must be assigned to management interface , however other interfaces can be assigned to overlay or VLAN networks.

Hi Sreec,
your answers are quite helpful~!!!
by the way, I would like to solve a doubt on the Edge tunnel endpoint which is,
is the Edge "TEP" same as other transport nodes' TEP(ESXi, KVM...etc) that are all in charge of the overlay network?
thanks again~!!
Yes, from a functionality perspective Edge TEP and Host TEP are same.
