Unable to connect to inventory

HI

I have been trying to run the following after connecting to the vc

connect-viserver -server 1.1.1.1

get-cluster "cluster name" | get-vm | export-csv "myfile"

but I get the following error:

Unable to connect to the Inventory Service at

'https://1.1.1.1/invsvc' which is required for the tagging functionality. Additional info: vim.fault.HttpFault

any help on this , thanks a bunch

Which vSphere and PowerCLI version are you using?

This error can have many causes.

- certificate issue

- firewall rules preventing access to the Inventory Services

- old PowerCLI version

- the service itself is not running or needs a restart

- ...

You were right, although the service invsvc was running, I just restarted it and it did fix the problem.
