Formatted VMFS6 datastore to VMFS5 - is there possibility to recover data?

We created new datastore from ESOS and connected it via iscsi to VMware Cluster. After that we formated it to vmfs6 and move some vms there. My friend was try to create new volume to another cluster and he done it wrong(he used same logical volume ). After format it to vmfs5  we lost all vms stored on previous datastore. I think that data are still there but we lost partition table of vmfs6. I saw @continuum guides about dump partition header but i think it will dump only vmfs5. So if you can tell us is there any other option to recover that data ?

      Thank you in advance.
