Remove a cluster from DataCenter

Hi all

I have multiple cluster in one datacener and I would like to remove one of the cluster, VMs that are not needed any more are shutdown and all other VMs has been migrated, the shutdown ones  will be removed from disk, so is my next step once this is done :

1) right-click on the cluster  and pick REMOVE  and that is the end of that cluster?

Thanks a bunch

Hi, fborges555.

I would suggest to move all ESXi hosts outside the cluster and leave it empty, just to make sure that ESXi hosts won´t have problems with DRS, HA and other internal cluster processes.
Then you will be able to remove without any problem.

Thanks a bunch for jumping in, all the esxi host on this cluster will be decom, they are too old , so we will not need them, do you still recommend that I remove them before deleting the cluster

Thanks again

If I'm not mistaken, you can only delete a cluster if it doesn´t have ESXi hosts in it, I'm not really sure.

I would remove all hosts from inventory and then delete the cluster.

Regards!
