Can I use a VM as a DNS server for my host machine?

I have a VM on which I installed Pi-Hole. I want to use it as the primary DNS server for my Windows 10 host machine, but when I add it's ip address to the DNS server option, it still is not configured. I am using bridged adapter for networking. Thanks.

Although I'm not a networking expert, I think that you can. Read Configuring Bridged Networking​ and if you are using Workstation 15.5.5 make sure you read Known Issues #2 in VMware Workstation 15.5.5 Pro Release Notes

Figured it out; I added my VM's link local address to my DNS servers list and it works Thanks!
