By x86, I assume you mean you have a 32-bit CPU (and therefore host OS)
Workstation 7.1.6 was released in June 2012, not sure why you would run such an old version - I read that 9.x was also supported on a 32-bit host OS.
Kali Linux has never been supported as a host OS for any version:
Older: VMware Knowledge Base
Newer: VMware Knowledge Base

I have tried version 8 and 9 but it says "one or more of your processors does not have the necessary 64bit extensions to run VMware virtual machine", i want fix this problem
