ESXi 6.7 - LSI 9261-8i - Hardware monitoring not correct

Hi,

I just upgraded my ESXi 6.5u1 to ESXi 6.7u3 and the sensors for my raid card LSI 9261-8i are not all there and they don't have the usual names:

ESXi 6.7u3:

ESXi 6.5u1:

Drivers and provider used in 6.5:

scsi-megaraid-sas 6.611.03.00-1OEM.600.0.0.2494585

lsiprovider 500.04.V0.66-0002

Drivers and provider tried in 6.7:

scsi-megaraid-sas 6.611.03.00-1OEM.600.0.0.2494585

lsiprovider 500.04.V0.66-0002

lsiprovider 500.04.V0.69-0005

lsiprovider 500.04.V0.72-0003

lsiprovider 500.04.V0.73-0002

I checked the hardware compatibility and the 9261-8i is still compatible with 6.7.

Anyone has any idea?

Hi opened a ticket with Broadcom, and this is the result:

"The host id is controlled by VMware. The controller and drive status pre 6.7 U3 was unknown

but VMware fixed it. That is about as good as it will get for now. VMware made some changes

for 6.7 which unfortunately affect the ways the controller and drives are detected.

You should use storcli and LSA as monitoring tools."
