Unable to start Fusion 11.5.3 under macOS 10.15.4 on a MacBook Pro 16

I've just bought a new MacBook Pro 16 and tried to run Fusion 11.5.3 Pro on it (like I do on my iMac with the same macOS-version). When I try to start Fusion after installation, I get several windows with error messages like (translated from German into English):

  • /dev/vmmon can not be opened. Defective pipe
  • Initialization failure of the monitor
  • Transportation error (VMDB) -14: Pipe connection has been broken

These windows appear, no matter what VM you want to install.

Does anyone have a hint?

Thanks a lot in advice!

Check system preferences/security and then click 'allow' on the kernel extension prompt.

Hi,

I have the same issue and same error messages, however in system preference/general I don't see any autorization request. Anything else to check? Fusion is 11.5.5 and macOS is 0.15.4

Thank in advance

You may need to do a clean install:

- quit fusion

- drag it to the trash

- empty trash

- reboot

- empty trash

- reinstall fusion

That's what I did. However this time I reinstalled 11.5.3 and no 11.5.5

Thanks
