Configure Dedicated Machines To Be Suspended After Users Disconnect

Configure Dedicated Machines To Be Suspended After Users Disconnect

Just looking to make sure I understand this particular concept. Is there any way to determine an amount of time that passes before a VM is suspended? What if you don't want it to suspend immediately on disconnect, rather an hour later?

In my testing, with this particular parameter set, following a disconnect action the VM is nearly immediately suspended. Thanks!

Hi,

If you are using DEM it is possible to create a Triggered Task. The trigger would be "session disconnected".

Right, but you can’t trigger a vCenter suspend action from within the session as far as I know, unless you scripted it. Which now that I say it out loud, isn’t a terrible idea.
