How exactly did you use UFSexplorer ?
hope you did not try to attach the iscsi to a Windows machine ?
I've a "Veeam Host" - Windows Server 2012R2 based. This is my managing-Tool,
With the tool, I can see the ISCSI-Target from the QNAP Server, 16 TB. After deleting the VM, there is no more activity at the QNAP-Server.
So, do you knwo a solution to restore deleted folders or files ?
I try to find the vmfs-metadata for the lfiles in the directory.
If there is enough of the info left - I create dd-scripts for all the large-files and try to extract them.
The small files like vmdk-descriptors, vmx-files are easier - they can be carved out or I create new ones if necessary.
You ment, that you'll try to find the vmfs-medadata for the files in the directory.
When can you have a first look at the storage?
call me via skype and we can arrange a date on short notice.
In case you are in germany send a PM with your phonenumber.
