why I cannot add 2 NVDS when I prepare a KVM transport node

when I prepare a KVM host, I can select more than one transport zone for this Transport node, but the button +ADD N-VDs is gray, and only one N-VDS can be configured, is it by design? so I know I can prepare an ESXi host to 2 Transport zone by enforcing Transport node profile which  2 Transport zones added. But how KVM fulfill this without profile enforced .

Hi,

Do you have permission to do this?

I am attaching this very useful troubleshouting manual.

Thanks.

This is LAB environment, I use admin account to do these operations, should have permission to to this. The LAB guide just tell me to connect the KVM Transport node to one Transport zone, but I want to try the situation which KVM connect to multiple Transport zones.

What is the N-VDS name you used for your TZs? The usual design has a single N-VDS with 2 TZs, one for overlay and the other for VLAN.

I use two NVDS as the Lab guide's order

TZ1 : Global-VLAN-TZ

TZ1 NVDS: PROD-VLAN-NVDs

TZ1 traffic type : VLAN

TZ2 : Global-Overlay-TZ

TZ2 NVDS: Prod-Overlay-NVDs

TZ2 traffic type : overlay

You can have the same NVDS for both TZs.
