SEG v2 certificate renewal

Hi, anyone renewed a certificate for their SEG v2?  Just wander if there is a streamlined method rather than re-running the installer on multiple SEG's?  Thanks

Considering this is a Java based app, it's probably a keystore. Keystores are a royal PIA in my experience. So it's probably best to run an installer again for ease.

Thi KB explains how to renew the SSL certificate for the SEGv2

VMware Knowledge Base

It depends how is configured on the console

  • If the field Upload Locally is deselected, you can upload your new certificate by selecting CHANGE or RENEW (if already expired).
  • If the field Upload Locally is selected, connect to your SEG server and run the installation file as an Administrator on the machine. You are prompted to upload the new certificate during the installation.

If you did not use the option "opload locally", then you can simply upload your new cert in the SEG v2 config screen in the UEM console.

Once done, restart the SEG server and it should pull this new certificate automatically.

As of SEG v2, SEG will pull all configs via the MEM configuration ID through API calls.
