Nested LAB ESXI: License

Hi,

I have downloaded the OVA files from William, referenced in this document

https://blogs.vmware.com/services-education-insights/files/2019/02/Nest-Lab-Tech-Doc-2.6.pdf

However there is no trial license attached to it, how can i get a trial license for this appliance?

I already registered for Trial license but here i can only download the images with key include i assume.

Can't i get a real license trial key somewhere.

Kind regards,

Frederik De Muyter

Hi,

Yes i know about the VMUG group and i registered for it today.(need it for NSX)  I also got the trial license working, there was an issue with the time on the vsphere hosts.

Ones the time was corrected i also did:

rm -r /etc/vmware/license.cfg
cp /etc/vmware/.#license.cfg /etc/vmware/license.cfg
/etc/init.d/vpxa restart

After that i was able to register the ESX hosts in my vsphere appliance.

If you have a vmware rep you can ask them for one directly. If this is for your own purpose, you may want to look into

https://www.vmug.com/vmug2019/membership/evalexperience

its $200 a year but you can get year long licenses for labs.
