the filename of the vmdk indicates that the vm is running on snapshot.

try to consolidate

Hi,

the -000 in the disk name indicates that you have a Snapshop. You must first delete the Snapshop and then allow you not to see it in gray. When there are SnapShops the disk cannot be expanded, for this reason it is displayed in gray.

yes - but deleting the snapshot was not successful.

please rightclick the machine, then "snapshots->consolidate disks". this action merges the snapshot to the vmdk. after this you sould be able to manage the vm

Hi,

In this post it was solved by creating a SnapShot and removing it later. After this operation the option was no longer grayed out.

In the past, did this VM have a SnapShot? which may have caused the problem the moment it was removed.

Glad it's working, in the event consolidation or snapshotting to remove again does not work, cloning the VM also merges all disks.
