Audio is creaky under guest Windows 10

Hello,

I’ve installed Windows 10 v.1909 on a vmware fusion 11.5.1 and audio is creaky under Windows. In the device manager under audio controller driver is ‘High Definition Audio’. Host system is macOS 10.15.2 on macbook pro early 2015. Does anybody know how to fix it?

have you installed the vmware tools?

Did you connect a USB sound device (e.g. headset) to your Windows VM?

Also, the sound output will be impacted if the VM is running with heavy CPU or IO load, try to increase the number of vcpu see if it helps.
