Hi all. New to this board. Apologies in advance if my desecription is not up to standards here.
Host System: Fedora 30: kernel 5.4.7-100; nvidia driver version 440.44
Guest System: Windows 7Pro Excel from MS Office 2013.
I just upgraded from Workstation Pro 15.1.0 (with vmmon and vmnet patched with
mkubecek's patches:

to Workstation Pro 15.5.1, also properly patched.
After the upgrade, Excel got very, very slow. Scrolling with the scroll-bar
was unusable, and quickly moving the active cell by holding down pointer keys had big delays,
making motion very frustrating and time-consuming.
Under 15.1.0 there was a bit of sluggishness, but it was tolerable. Now the sluggishness
is at least 5 times as bad, making rapid movement unusable.
I re-installed 15.1.0 and the sluggishness went back to the tolerable level
before the upgrade. Everything else on my machine remained constant.
PowerPoint did not seem affected, nor did anything else I checked.
Just Excel.
Does anyone have suggestions or clues?
