you must pass the Foundation exam regardless of the score.
to take the "VCP-DCV 2019" exam you must:
- Attend one of the required training courses
- Pass One of the Foundation exams
- Pass one of the Professional Data Center Virtualization Exams
Thank you for your answer. That is what I was aware of when I was taking the foundation exam as well.
I thought just passing the exam regardless of score would be enough.
However, after taking the exam I came across the below piece of information saying that I need to pass
the foundation exam with a score of at least 350 in order to be able to attend the ICW.
(I already attended the required courses and am following the path but now stuck because of this)
I'm not sure if I'm understanding the situation correctly. Please kindly refer to the picture below.
Proctored Exams There is a seven (7) calendar day waiting period after all failed attempts for proctored VMware certification exams for these levels:
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) • VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
For example, if a candidate fails the exam on March 1, then they may retake the exam on March 8 or later.
Once a candidate passes a proctored exam, they cannot take that exam again until a new major exam revision is released.
Non-Proctored Exams There is no waiting period after a failed attempt for a Non-Proctored exam. Non-proctored exams include the VMware Certified Associate (VCA) exams and the vSphere 6.5 Foundations Exam, among others.
Once a candidate passes a non-proctored exam, they cannot take that exam again until a new major exam revision is released.
Beta Exams Beta exams may only be taken once during the beta exam period. If a candidate is unsuccessful on the beta exam, they may take the production version of the exam once released.
P.S. By now your exam has been registered with that score ... try to call support and with them see if they can cancel the exam.
Thank you very much for your time and clarification.
I really appreciate your help.

I think you need to email email@example.com before you will be able to book another attempt at the exam - the booking system will NOT know that you are attempting to become a VCI and therefore need a 350 score, it will not let you book the same exam again as you have technically passed it.
