I am running Workstation Player 15.5, host Win 7 64-bit, guest Win 7 32-bit. I use an IBM ScrollPoint Pro USB HID mouse, which works fine in the host but has limited functionality in the guest - the all-important scroll joystick doesn't respond in the guest. When I connect it (as a removable device) using the toolbar, it disconnects in the host, and works fine in the guest (as expected), but the entire toolbar becomes inaccessible - the mouse cursor won't go up into it, and to do anything else I have to shut down the VM and start over again.
The problem is the same in Full Screen mode, and gets worse in Unity mode, where the cursor disappears entirely and the only way out is holding the power button down for a crash stop.
I've tried the addition of a device-specific quirk line (KB article 774 "Problems using some USB devices in a virtual machine") but that's no help, some of which would be greatly appreciated.
