Cant start VM - File Provider Not Running

I have VM Player Workstation 15.5 on Win10 host, running Ubuntu 18.04 guest.  Everything was fine till I disabled my OneDrive on my host - sounds like a strange connection, but unfortunately true.

I had to disable my OneDrive on my host machine (for many but unrelated reasons), seemingly the VM configuration files are stored on the Documents folder, which was sync'd with OneDrive so unsyncing messed up something - but I can see all the files in the Documents folder.

Now when I try running the VM I get this error: "File Provider Not Running".

How do I sort this.

Also where is the setting that defines - where the config files should be stored.

You would have to move the VM out of the OneDrive shared location then try again.

Hopefully OneDrive did not mess up your VM.
