Hi
Im migrating vms from old vcenter 5.1 to vcsa 6.7
(unregister from old vc and register on new vc)
On the 6.7 vc i have a cluster with two esxi 6.5 servers showing 64 Ghz free CPU and 511 GB free memory
when I try to power on a machine with 1 PCU on the new vc67 in fails with an error: Insufficient capacity on each physical CPU.
also Host memory status alert is shown.
see attached image.
what am I missing?
Do you have CPU resource reservations configured on the virtual machine? The CPU reservations probably exceed the available capacity on the target ESXi host.

Check the VM in question and make sure there are no CPU reservations set. If so, you probably should remove them.
Jinx!
Hi and thanks you all for your replies
it looks like there is a resource reservation of 2500Mhz on this machine
however on the host server I have sufficient CPU. looks like the reservation is working based on the CPU model or available Mhz per CPU.
aig,
As your cpu is 2.2GHz, a reservation of 2.5GHz for a single cpu VM could be a big problem....
