Grant Access to Skyline Advisor in VMware Cloud Services

As of November 19th, Skyline has strengthened security policies and subsequently, Skyline Advisor service explicit grant access is required.

If you no longer have access to https://skyline.vmware.com/advisor please contact your respective Cloud Services organization owners or the VMware Skyline team at https://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/skyline/.

If you are an Organization Owner and you do not have access to Skyline Advisor, please contact the Skyline Community.

Below is a screenshot of the correct way to grant access to Skyline Advisor and Collector services in VMware Cloud Services Platform.

Resolution

The steps to complete this process are as follows:

  1. Log in to VMware Cloud Services.
  2. Click on Console (top right-hand corner).
  3. Click on Identity & Access Management.
  4. Click the checkbox next to the User for whom you need to grant Skyline Advisor service access to, then click Edit Roles.
  5. Click Add Service Access, then choose the Skyline Advisor service role.
  6. Click Save.
