use a harddisk from passedthrough LSI HBA as boot disk?

Hello!

I have passed through my LSI 9300 16i to a vm, on my onboard sata controller i have a datastore which contains the VM (just the vmx, no OS installed).

The VM doesnt have a virtual harddisk, i want to boot off one of the LSI connected harddisks

Any idea how to?

I have a fully working system running, i want to convert it to esxi and have the previous system running on esxi with the passedthrough disk, 16 disks.
