vCloud Director GPU Support

Hi,

Is it somehow possible in vCloud Director to attach vGPU Cards to VM's?

We have some Hosts with nVidia Cards and we have to enable our customer to use them with vCloud Director (Version 10).

Thanks!

Hello,

VCD no support GPU 😞  ...

The only way out:

1. Create VM in vApp - VCD

2. Turn it off

3. Add GPU to VM in VC

4. Set EFI Boot Mode

5. Register parameters in Advanced:

pciPassthru.use64bitMMIO = TRUE

pciPassthru.64bitMMIOSizeGB = 64

6. Reserve all memory - click Reserve all memory

7. Install an OS with EFI support

You could even put the advanced params in a VM Sizing Policy to make the configuration more streamlined. See the post by Daniel Paluszek

Stay tuned for upcoming VCD release which will have support for Nvidia vGPU.
