do you have update manager installed on the same server ? VUM needs SQL Express
No, We are not using any VUM facility in our environment
ok - then i see no other reason why sql express is needed
I have stopped it now however still don't see memory usage going down. so many java.exe showing in processes. Any idea if this is normal?
this is part of the tomcat-server vcenter relies on
Yes, so this is normal OR or need to monitor anything to control the health
Thanks for posting in VMware communities.
Can you clarify if you have done a migration or upgrade.
Migration - Move from windows based vCenter to a vCenter appliance
Upgrade - Upgrade windows based vCenter from 5.5 to 6.5 on the same OS
If this is upgrade, you are not supposed to stop any services as the vCenter might still be running on the windows machine.
The java.exe are components of vCenter server indicating it is still running in your environment.
Can you answer to the question asked which will help to isolate this issue.
