Setting MAC address to Manual instead of Automatic

I wan't to configure my servers with DHCP instead of entering all information bij hand. To be sure my servers get the same IP addresses every time, I want to make use of DHCP reservations.

When switching from Automatic to Manual I have to enter the MAC address. Can I simply use the MAC address it previously got while on Automatic?

We are having a VMWare cluster with ESXi 6.5.0 and vCenter Server Appliance 6.7.0.40000

usually vcenter manages the MACAddress-Pool so there is no risk that an once generated MAC is generated twice. So you can simply keep the mac
