Tools not completely installable - shared Folders not working - Fusion 11.5.0 and Windows 10 x64 Guest

Hi,

after Catalina update on my MacBook Pro my Win 10 VM doesn't have the VMware Tools installed.

First I tried to reinstall (obvious that the Graphics remained on the higher resolution) - unfortunately first: VMCI Driver Failed , then EFI-Driver installation failed.

After that It made the rollback to the initial state.

Then I stopped Symantec Endpoint Protection, and tried to reinstall - no luck.

I don´t have the VMware Tools Folder, and don't have it in the Application Menu.

Then I tried to Install Tools first with Limited Drivers.

Step 1: Install VMware Tools Toolbox only

SUCCESS!

Reboot

Step 2: Install the Rest of the Drivers with h "Repair" Option

SUCCESS!

Reboot

- But after that no Shared Folders are working, but the Rest is in Place.

Is there ANY Workaround?

Best regards,

Jochen

Using VMware Tools bundled uninstall program may resolve some driver related issues.

Choose 'Remove' from Reinstall VMware Tools program, then restart VM and install tools again.

Hi,

I already done that  even with a reboot after deinstalling and reinstalling.

But at the reinstalling Process - I get first: VMCI Driver Failure, then EFI Driver Failure, then a complete rollback, and nothing was installed.

And I can't do anything against that.

My only option in that status is: Install ONLY the Toolbox, then reboot and then do a REPAIR of the VMware Tools.

I´m completely curious how I get so far...

Any advice is completely appreciated!

Best regards,

Jochen
