vSphere replicated VMs have 0KB vmdk files

Using v8.2 vSphere Replication appliances on both ends. Site pair is established. Source is using a block file-system and target is using NFS. When replicating a VM from source, it goes into 'Not Active' mode and is reflecting the same status on the target site (under Site Recovery for Incoming Replications). This replicated VM does create a folder on the target datastore. But the vCenter 'Files' view of the datastore reflects 0KB files for the 2 vmdks. And these are the only 2 files I see...no hbr* files at all.

      Any help is appreciated.
