Virtualization and security

Hi,

I have a question to which I am unable to find an answer online.

Is it safer/more secure to have virtualization feature in BIOS disabled and only run 32-bit OS in VMWare Player VS having virtualization feature in BIOS enabled and using VMWare Player with 32 and 64-bit OS?

I will be testing some anti-malware products in Windows 10 and really don't want to get my main/host OS infected.

Thank you.

Please reply. I remember using VMWare Player v7 with VT-x disabled in BIOS and only running 32-bit OS. Is this still possible? And is it more secure (as I've asked in the OP)?
