After receiving another Windows update (see above), my VMWare WorkStation cannot run any virtual machines anymore. I've already spent hours with this issue, was able to fix it after my computer did not boot at all anymore at some point using the step-by-step instructions given. Is this something I need to do after every Windows update now?! This is really tedious. Is there a way to get rid of this problem by not using HyperV/Linux sub-system?
Could you please check the msinfo.exe status and have a try per VMware Workstation throws Hyper-V Error Message even though Hyper-V is NOT Installed
Open PowerShell as Administrator and run :
Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName VirtualMachinePlatform
and reboot the system.
