System logs on host <....................> are stored on non-persistent storage.

Hi,

Recently we moved few hosts from one cluster to other and applied the destination cluster host profile on the moved hosts, still we have a warning on the hosts saying "System logs on host  are stored on non-persistent storage."

in the advanced settings  tried to edit the logs server details, its not getting update.

Any suggestions for solutions. Please provide.

Usually when it doesn't update you are entering the location wrong, you can either share screenshots of what your doing, if you can't open an SR so they can do a zoom session with you. It has to be exactly right, if you have other hosts that have it right I usually just copy and paste the entry.

What is the settings of that "host profille" in section of "syslog.*" (especially Syslog.LogDir)?  what is the destination path for saving the logs?

In most of times, this error is related to the saving logs on the non-persistent datastore like an SD memory (that is the installation location of ESXi)
