Hi, I am using ESXi 6.7U3 and I have a NVIDIA V100 installed in my host.
I already installed the NVIDIA .VIB file with the driver in the ESXi host and it recognizes the graphic card (nvidia-smi successful).
The problem I have is that in my web client there should be a section "Graphics" inside the "Hardware" tab that would allow me to configure the GPU in "Shared Direct" mode, but there is nothing instead
But... when I check the capabilities that the Evaluation version of ESXi provide during the evaluation period, vGPU is among them:
Any ideas about how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
Make sure you are ok with all the requirements
VMware vSphere :: NVIDIA Virtual GPU Software Documentation
also if this isn't a homelab, check with your local vmware rep they might be able to get you a temprary license for testing this.
Iam guessing..
These options only exists in the WebClient (flash) or maybe in latest vSphere Client(HTML5) when having vCenter around. You're using the Host Client which doesnt have all options.

I thought the same thing, but I checked the POC I have and at least the device shows. I think the opener has a prereq missing, or it may just be the eval license.
No,
your screenshot also doenst show the missing menu entries. The HostClient can deal with PCI Passtrough/Redirect but the OP search for a different thing. I have K2 and M60 in my Hosts but running 6.5u3. At least my WebClient (vCenter!) shows the missing options..... havent take a look to the Hostclient because OP runs 6.7 right?

Which license of EXSi do you have: Evaluation/Free/Enterprise Plus/Platinum ?
I have enterprise, which is required, but I think the eval is like enterprise which is why I'm not saying its the problem directly. It wouldn't hurt to try and get a temporary license if you can. Do you see the gpu in the list, your looking for a menu item, but does it show in the list. I think the other responder is correct you need to have vcenter to do most other things anyway.
Ok.... checked my environment (vSphere 6.5u3)
vCenter:
WebClient
HTML5
have both a "Graphics" entry under Host->Configuration->Hardware
ESX:
HostClient
Nothing .... i think its the same for 6.7u3

Run the following command and check the ESXi host detects the VGA or not
lspci -v | grep -i Graphic
This is what I am getting:
Luke, you should use the right client!
Are you sure that you installed the correct version of NVIDIA driver (VIB file) in the ESXi? Did you check it with version of your host anyway in the nvidia.com
