vIDM Horizon and UAG Redirect to prefered URLs

Hi,

I've got an outbound vIDM setup: 3 IDM servers in the DMZ and 2 IDM Connectors in the LAN

I've also got 2 UAG servers in the DMZ and 2 Horizon Connection servers in the LAN

Now I'd like to have everyone only access IDM and when they try and go to Horizon it takes them to IDM, I'm not using Workspace ONE mode that I've read would function like that.

Back when you'd use UAG to publish both IDM and Horizon on a single appliance it would work as described above, typing in workspace.example.com or horizon.example.com would both take you to vIDM.

So I guess the question is should I continue using UAG to publish both or is there something else I can do that would be a supported configuration.

Right now I have a VIP in front of the IDM servers and a VIP in front of the UAG servers and a NAT from a public IP to the internal VIP for vIDM and another NAT and public IP for UAG.

DNS I'm pointing workspace.example.com to one public IP and UAG/Horizon to another public IP.

Thanks for any help or guidance.

Hi chadc1979,

When combining access to both in a single UAG, this is normal behavior. You can access the Horizon 7 HTML login page by appending /portal to the URL, for example: https://horizon.example.com/portal

For production environments, I would highly recommend using for Horizon aswell IDM separated UAGs (HA).
