ESXi : upgrade from 6.0 to 6.5 without compatibility matrix ?

It seems that VMware doesn't, though compatibility matrix, allow to upgrade the ESXi 6.0 to 6.5 (only 6.0 U3).
Did you already bypass this approach to go to 6.5 from 6.0 ? What are the risks ?

On paper the 11.Gen Dell Poweredge Servers are not certfied for vSphere ESX 6.5.x

We run 6.5.latest on a couple of 11.Gen. R710.

Before, on my side, I also plan to use a R720 (then more recent), but I just need to find 32 Gb (instead of 8 Gb).

If this goal is not possible, I will try with some risk to upgrade the R710.

It's quiet strange : not allow the compatibility between all the version of VMware_HW versions and all the ESXi versions, no ?
