Alerts not firing anymore after webhook was implemented

After webhook alerting was put in place for one set, any alerts that had more than one email address in it, stopped working.

We also got a huge amount of errors for SMTP int he runtime.log, and I would like to clear that too.

Any clues on what might have caused this to happen now?
