We are buldung a VMware Installation with 3-4 Hosts and around 20 VM that are running at the same time. We plan to use a NAS for Storage.
Hosts and Storage will be connected in a seperate 10G Ethernetnetwork
Do you have recommodations how much RAM the NAS Needs? The VM´s are only used for testing and Education Purposes, no Production.
I hope for some Guidance which Dimensions we Need for a stable System.
Thanks in Advance Suriko
While RAM is important, more important will be the number and type of disks in this NAS. If you're going to run that many VMs concurrently, I'd probably go with at least 4 x SSD drives and 4 GB minimum RAM in the NAS. Synology has some units that can accommodate this.

Thankks for the Answer i thought it would be somethin like this but couldn't find anything related to the RAM Amount.
