Logitech mouse extra buttons (Setpoint ,M705) + WMWare windows 10

I'm considering the VMWare workstation pro.

OS: Windows 10. Mouse: Logitech M705 + Logitech Setpoint software.

I need the extra buttons with the Logitech Setpoint software config.

It worked just after the guest windows installation but stopped working.

I tried everything (VM extended mouse support, Setpoint on both etc).

Any help?

We have the same problem. Host is Win10. VM is Win7. Mouse is Logitech M510. The extra mouse buttons all worked fine with Workstation 12 but not with 15. This needs to be fixed.

Using a Kubuntu Guest and Windows host with the same exact mouse. I tried editing the .vmx file like a lot of stackoverflow posts have, with:

mouse.vusb.enable = "TRUE"

mouse.vusb.useBasicMouse = "FALSE"

But none of these do anything. xev doesn't show the keys as being picked up at all.
