RajeevVCP4 Jun 28, 2019 12:07 PM (in response to doubleH)Is ELM there
as it seems 1 VC -- 1 PSC
1 VC --1 PSC
not understanding your question , elaborate more

Deso1ator Jun 28, 2019 1:15 PM (in response to doubleH)Upgrading will not make a topology change. You should look into the vCenter Server Converge Tool to move to the embedded PSC.

vcdx245 Jul 9, 2019 10:48 AM (in response to doubleH)1 person found this helpfulMy suggestion is to start with the 'The vSphere 6.7 Topology and Upgrade Planning Tool' and once you navigate through the tool and answer the questions it will not only show you what the target topology will look like but provide you a high-level procedure the you will follow using the installer. Based on the info you provided above you will end up with multiple VCSA appliances with embedded PSC's, very simple topology.
FYI...ELM stands for Enhanced Linked Mode

doubleH Jul 9, 2019 11:22 AM (in response to vcdx245)Thanks for the link to the upgrade planning tool. It was helpful to a point, however it seems to think I want to use linked mode. I will re-phrase my question below.
Current Setup is listed below. I am not using linked mode or anything like that. Just to separate vCenter appliances connecting to a single PSC that provides a single SSO domain accross both vCenters. When I login to either vCenter I can see and manage both vCenter servers.

Question - What will this look like after I upgrade if I want to go to an embedded PSC? Will I have 2 VCSA's with an embedded PSC on each still with a single SSO domain?
Thanks

7. Re: VCSA 6.7 U2 Architecture
Deso1ator Jul 9, 2019 11:28 AM (in response to doubleH)Upgrading will not change your topology. Your topology will be the same after the upgrade. You definitely want to migrate to embedded PSCs since external PSCs will eventually be deprecated.

8. Re: VCSA 6.7 U2 Architecture
vcdx245 Jul 9, 2019 11:31 AM (in response to doubleH)1 person found this helpfulThat is correct. When everything is upgraded you will end up with two VCSA appliances, each with an embedded PSC in a single SSO domain. Do you want to keep everything in a single SSO domain? Do you want them in separate SSO domain's and if so, what is the justification for separating them?

Deso1ator Jul 9, 2019 11:57 AM (in response to vcdx245)To clarify, there is an additional step to get to embedded PSCs, right?
