hi,
would expect the respective physical switch port port to flap when uplink redundancy is lost, but it’s not.
PortGroup (used for vSAN) is setup with one uplink as Active (the one reported as temporarily down) and other as Standby.
The duration from when reported as lost to restored is only a second or two max.
Any idea why the switchport does not show sign of going down?
Any suggestions, I was going to start with replacing the cabling from host to switch.
Thanks
There's a good chance this is not a physical problem with the switch or cabling. Are the drivers and firmware up to date, and in supported configurations for the server and NICs?
Yes could well be but firmware/driver matches with the VCG.
The host is part of a cluster with identical hosts so would expect the same behaviour from the other hosts if this was the case.
