Enabling Fault Tolerance

Hi,

I have a VM01 server on ESXi01 which was my main server.

I enabled the FT and now the VM01 of ESXi02 is the primary one.

I did not understand! The VM01 of ESXi01 should continue as primary and ESXi02 as secondary.

Required when configuring FT do you need a datastore shared between ESXi?

Yes you need a shared DS for FT. 

Btw. with FT 2.0 it creates a copy of all data so the wizzard will ask you for the location of the data copy. You can specify the same DS or choose another shared one.

Shouldn't matter which host has the primary. You could failover the VM to the other host if you really want to.
