You are right, agent resource pools are created for service VM's and partner related solutions which have integrations with NSX. I have not tested the deletion operation of agent resource pools, but if my understanding is correct, the moment you delete it , resource pool will be again created. Even though there are no limits or shares applied , I would say not to delete or change any Resource Pools shares/limits since it is a auto created object. If you still want to get rid of the same, please do approach VMware support and get a confirmation.
