Hi,
Just wondered if anyone could help,
Getting an error in POWERCLI about the maximum number of disks reached even after changing the VM to version 14.
Updated powershell to 5.1 and powercli to 11 but still getting the message about max disks reached (even though it's not 256 in v14)
Just wondered if I need to do anything with POWERCLI beforehand?
Trying to add 160 disks to a VM and want to script rather than manually add.
Please move to PowerCLI.
I'm not sure where you got that 256 number?
I thought max 4 controllers and max 15 devices per controller, so 60 devices max.
In any case there is nothing to be done in PowerCLI to increase whatever maximum.

It's a new feature in 6.7 u1... Can do it via html5 just not in power li...
Didn't know that.
It's only for PVSCSI HD it seems.
Also not sure if it is supported since V14 or V15.I version
In any case, the current PowerCLI version only supports upto v10.
You will have to revert to calling the API directly.
What code have you been using in your tests?
Can you share?
