vCenter Update manager patching: Not overwrite VUM DB

vCenter 6.0 on Windows Server 2012 R2

I am testing the patching of vCenter 6.0 to 6.0U3i on Windows Server 2012R2. Everything is on the same host, vCenter/PSC, MSSQL DB, vCenter Update Manager. I updated vCenter fine. When I update VUM, it prompts as attached. I close the default, do not overwrite. After VUM update completed, I checked the MSSQL DB and it does not look like it created new sets of tables, etc. I am curious what really happened here? Will all my previous settings work fine?

Thanks,

If you choose 'Do not overwrite' it makes sense that there are no new tables... I'm not quite sure what your question/problem is. Did you go through with the upgrade? And then opened Update Manager? Everything should be there as before.

Consider giving Kudos if you think my response helped you in any way.

I don't think there are any new tables added to VUM DB from 6.0 to 6.0 U3i . Yes changes would be there for 6.5 and 6.7 .
