Aditya2018 May 20, 2019 7:42 AM (in response to jhyiesla)Hello Jhyiesla,
The previous session established by Skyline collector may no longer be active, you will to re-authenticate the session.
Just go to the Skyline Admin page and edit the vCenter configuration, enter the password again and update, it should resolve the issue.
If the issue persists further, please share the screenshot or error message when trying to update the password.

5. Re: Reset root password
jhyiesla May 20, 2019 10:15 AM (in response to Aditya2018)I've got the root password reset OK. I still have one vcenter showing as red and when I try and re-enter the password, it says it's expired.. but I've used the same user for all of the vCenters and set them up all about the same time. How would I reset the PW on the vCenter account user for skyline or set it to not expire?

Aditya2018 May 20, 2019 1:08 PM (in response to jhyiesla)Hello Jhyiesla,
Logon using the same user account to the Webclient of the vCenter, you should get an prompt to reset the password.
If it dose not work, you need to logon using SSO admin user and reset the password.
If the user is an Active Directory account, you will need to reset at AD level.
If the user account is an vSphere SSO user, you can change the password policy in vCenter advanced options, when logged in as SSO admin. This would be applicable for all the SSO domain accounts.

7. Re: Reset root password
jhyiesla May 21, 2019 7:13 AM (in response to Aditya2018)Apparently I'd just forgot the Skyline user for that vCenter's password. I removed the local user and readded them and went back to the Skyline console and was able to reactivate that vCenter.
