So, I am using Windows 1809 LTSC image. UEM 9.7
Trying to save the following items for a start
Folder Redirection works just fine.
Wallpaper
Taskbar>ToolBars>Address
>Link
>Desktop
The Wallpaper I was expecting to work as "Windows Setting" has a Wallpaper already configured. I have a Condition set to "OS is Windows 10" (No AppData redirection)
Nothing is written to the Archives\Windows Settings\ when I log off.
The Taskbar is enabled but again doesn't work.
Again nothing is written to the Archives\Windows Settings\
So I am starting to wonder if the Configuration of UEM is not correctly setup, by myself 🙂
If I enable APPDATA redirection, the Wallpaper at least follows me but not the way I want this to work. (So I disable it)
NOW, the strange part. If I manually run the flexEngine.exe -s from a command prompt everything is written to the
%username%\Archives\Windows Settings\
%username%\Archives\Applications\
%username%\Archives\Microsoft Office 2016
Log off and then log in, everything stays. But if I change something it doesn't stick till I run the FlexEngine.exe -s again.
I look at rsop and I see flexengine.exe -s with the right path.
Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Hi vBritinUSA,
Sorry for being unclear. The path is not case-sensitive; it's just that you've spelled it "LMMIDIO" (starting with an "L" as in "Lima") instead of "IMMIDIO" (with an "I" as in "India").
Hi vBritinUSA,
Given that it works fine when you manually run FlexEngine.exe -s, I suspect that the logoff script isn't configured correctly.
Can you share an export of the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy\Scripts\Logoff key?
I have kind of the same issue.
When my users change they default broser to Chrome(from Edge) it will always go back to Edge after a reboot.
The same issue do I see with the default email application.
Music player and Videoplayer will stay at the user choise..
Why do web browser and email application reset them selves?
I have tried all differen registry keys into my config file: "default windows 10 apps".

Hi lansti,
Can you please start a separate thread for your question? vBritinUSA's issue is that nothing gets exported at logoff; that's different from your case where certain settings don't persist. Thanks!
This is the export.

Hi vBritinUSA,
"Script"="c:\\Program Files\\lmmidio\\Flex Profiles\\FlexEngine.exe"
Your "Immidio" actually starts with a lowercase 'l' ("el"), rather than an uppercase "I" ("eye") 🙂
Hi UEMdev,
So, not sure I follow what you are saying.
What should the script be then? To me in this example
"Script"="c:\\Program Files\\lmmidio\\Flex Profiles\\FlexEngine.exe"
The "I" looks uppercase?
Also, is this case sensitive?

Hi lansti,
I think I can help you out. Did you have a look at my blog post? The same magic applies to configuring the default browser.

Like UEMdev mentioned, if you got any more questions or reactions regarding your topic, can you please open a new thread? Just so we don't get things mixed up. I am glad to help you out with the required steps if necessary, so please let me know.
Hi Ivan, THANK YOU!!!!
