Reverting VMCA to default config

In our lab we configured our VMCAs as subordinate CA for testing purpose.  We are running into some issues and want to revert the VMCAs back to default config of stand-alone CA.  Is there a document(s) that outlines how to do that?  We are running vSphere 6.7 and  PSCs are external PSC appliances.

TIA,

If I run the Certificate-Manger and run the option 4, "Regenerate a new VMCA Root Certificate and replace all certificates", will it set the VMCA configuration back to default?

Also, how do you remove Trusted Root Certificates from the VMCA, I see a lot of articles on replacing/adding but not just removing.

TIA
