How to add an New ESXi 6.5 host to existing cluster?

Hello guys,

I have a basic question.

I have a vCenter cluster with 3 hosts. Now would like to add a new server and remove an old server.

On the server I have ESXI-installed and, firmware update made.

How to add an New ESXi ? Smiley Sad

do I have to attach ESXI host to storage first?

do I have to pick up ESXI host in vCenter and then configure and attach to storage?

I ask for your help

I have an Enterprice Plus license. Is there a way to assign all configuration from old server to new server?

I thank you in advance

once you have installed ESXi on the new host server, you will need to add it to the vCenter.

To do this you select the datacenter within your vCenter and right click this and select new host.

follow the the wizard,

So only to my understanding.

1. Add new ESXI host to vCenter

2. Connection of new ESXI to storage

3. then network configuration of the new ESXI

4. remove old ESXI host

Is that correct?

Can not I take over the configuration of the old host?
