Kubernetes licensing model query

I like to use either new version of PKS or CSE kubernetes with VMware.

PKS—i have vSphere licensing.

Cse kubernetes–i have vSphere along with vcloud director license.

Apart from vSphere, any other separate licensing is required for kubernetes.

How the licensing model works here from kubernetes?

Please let me know if anyone knows.

Thank you,

Manivel R

As CSE is opensource, there should not be any license for its use regardless of the number of pods you run.

PKS is a separate purchase and license. It doesn't not come with any form of vSphere license. The CSE for vCD does not require a special license, but it obviously requires you already are using vCD. PKS does not rely upon vCD in any way.

Thank you for response.Im new to this.

Assume my setup is CSE kubernetes with vcd.

1master node with 20 worker nodes. I can run N no of containers in to worker nodes without any additional special license from VMware.

Am I right?
