Is SRM will work without linked mode of PSC from DR site to Prod site?

Hi,

We're having a problem installing vcsa on DR site (DR psc is joined to Prod psc). It always get error of "Unable to register ESX Agent Manager as an extension in vCenter Server" (ip range and vlan are the same for both site). Then most of the services of Prod vcsa and psc are unable to start. When we tried to reboot the vcsa and psc, webclient are inaccessible. So we re-install again the vcsa and psc on Prod site.

Now I tried to create their own SSO on psc on each site. Then the installation of vcsa is successful on DR site. So we have Prod site with vcsa and psc own SSO, and DR site vcsa and psc own SSO.

My question is, will SRM+vSphere Replication will work even in not in linked mode of the two PSC with their individual SSO?

Thank You in advance.

Hi

Yes, SRM+vSphere Replication working in non-linked mode of the two PSC with their individual SSO is fully supported. For more details - you can see Site Recovery Manager and vCenter Server Deployment Models  (this is for SRM 8.1, you can find the corresponding doc section for your SRM version)

Hope this helps

Ivan
