RDS Licensing for virtual apps running from VMware Horizon client.

Hi,

We plan to use introduce published apps in our environment.

We have set up an RDS server with apps and VMware agent installed, and uses the Horizon Horizon client to launch the virtual apps.

We also UEM to manage the user profiles.

My question is, other than the Microsoft RDS per user or per device license, what other license do I need to purchase from VMware in this set up.

We have already purchase enterprise license for Horizon. Thank you.

Regards,

Yazid-

From a VMware licensing point of view, you are good with your Enterprise license for Horizon. Having the proper Microsoft RDS device/user cals also and you're set.

We use the  VMware client to access the published app.

Shouldn't a license be required to authenticate via Connection Server?

Does the Enterprise license covers that? Thank you.

You're covered by the enterprise license for that so no additional license is needed.
